Set rules before a project begins.

Here are a few ways we quote for jobs, if you’d rather be quoted in a different way let us know, it’s all about setting rules you’re comfortable with before a project starts.

We quote by spec and estimate a ceiling price. We keep timesheets which you will have access to online, if a job is close to going over the ceiling price you will know, sooner rather than later.

By far the most effective method is telling us what your budget is. This allows us to plan what we can do for you. We'll set out objectives that allow you to gauge what you can achieve for your investment.  At times you may feel you shouldn't tell us what your budget is and see what we can come up with or we may inflate prices, everything we do is transparent. We keep time sheets even for flat rate jobs, you will be given access to our online time sheets. Its in our best interest to look after you, we haven't grown successfully through word-of-mouth by not doing a great, honest job.

For some jobs where its difficult to tell exactly how long it will take (larger jobs) we work solely by timesheet. Once we agree on an hourly rate and payment schedule (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) we’ll send you access to your online timesheet.

At times you may want to start a project by commissioning us for the first 20 hours upfront, then work based on timesheet. This is a great way to start a project if you haven’t worked with us before, or if you have a website that needs a tidy up. The set hours will give you an idea of what we can do, then if you’re happy with the results, you could either discuss another block of 10 hours for example, or work off timesheet from there. You will be able to login to a client area and view tasks/time.

We often charge clients a small, set retainer per week or month, when you are ready for a project, we use the funds accumulated from your retainer. Clients on retainer are charged a lower hourly rate and we give your jobs priority should you have a tight deadline. Retainers are particularly effective for small businesses with a tight budget, set up an automatic payment and think of it as your branding fund that you can use throughout the year. This eliminates budgeting surprises and guarantees control over expenditures.
